Vinted guide
How to price items on Vinted: the simple method (2026 fees included)
The right Vinted price comes from looking at the same item, in the same condition, from other sellers, then positioning yourself depending on your goal: sell fast or sell high. On fees, private sellers pay nothing to sell: the buyer pays the Vinted fee on top (usually 5% + €0.70 in France and Italy, usually 3–8% + £0.30–0.80 in the UK).
In short
- Private sellers: no commission on the sale. You get the price you list.
- The buyer also pays the Vinted fee and shipping. The amount is shown on every listing.
- Compare with the same item, same size, same condition. Lower end of the range to sell fast.
- Don’t undersell a rare piece: identify the exact model before pricing.
- Leave some room for offers, and set the price before a Bump (you can lower it, not raise it).
Who pays what on Vinted?
The Vinted fee is mandatory and paid by the buyer at checkout. According to the official pricelists, it varies with the item, the order value and the order type (single item or bundle). It is usually 5% of the price + €0.70 in France and Italy, and usually 3–8% + £0.30–0.80 in the UK, VAT included. Private sellers only pay for the extras they choose: Bumps, Showcase.
| Your item price | Vinted fee (5% + €0.70) | Buyer pays, before shipping |
|---|---|---|
| €10 | €1.20 | €11.20 |
| €20 | €1.70 | €21.70 |
| €50 | €3.20 | €53.20 |
| €100 | €5.70 | €105.70 |
| €400 | €20.70 | €420.70 |

The 4-step method
- Identify the item exactly. Brand, model, collection, size, material. The label often tells you everything. This is the step that stops you selling for 40 what is worth 400.
- Compare with the same item in the same condition. Search Vinted for the brand and model, filter by size and condition, and look at the price range.
- Choose your position. To sell fast: the lower end. To maximise: the middle, with patience. For a rare piece: don’t anchor on more common items.
- Leave room for offers. Many buyers negotiate. Our take: keep a little margin above your minimum rather than listing at your floor price.
Condition changes everything
Vinted asks you to pick a condition, from “new with tags” down to “satisfactory”. Always compare with items in the same condition: “new with tags” and “good” don’t sell at the same price, even for the same model.
When and how to drop the price
- If the item gets no favourites or messages, check the photo and title first: price isn’t always the problem.
- A price drop sends a notification to your followers. A clear drop on an item that’s stuck relaunches it.
- Before a Bump, get the price right: during a Bump you can lower the price but not raise it, and the Bump cost stays the same.
- You can also offer a bundle discount to sell several items to the same buyer.
Frequently asked questions
Who pays the fees on Vinted, the buyer or the seller?
The buyer. The Vinted fee is added at checkout along with shipping. Private sellers receive the price they listed.
How much does Vinted take from a sale?
Nothing from a private seller’s sale. Vinted charges a fee to the buyer, and optional extras to the seller (Bumps, Showcase).
How do I know if my price is too high?
If your item gets views but no favourites or messages, compare it again with the same model in the same condition. If you’re clearly above the range, lower it: your followers will be notified.
Can I raise the price during a Bump?
No. During a Bump you can lower the price but not raise it, and the Bump cost stays the same.
