How to sell fast on Vinted in 2026

On Vinted, how fast you sell comes down to four things: a first photo that makes people tap, a title that search can find, the right price from day one, and posting regularly. Offers, bundles and Bumps speed things up afterwards, but they won’t rescue a weak listing.

In short

  • First photo: the whole item, sharp, in daylight, no collage (that’s Vinted’s rule).
  • Title: brand + item type + model + colour + size. No empty words like “nice”.
  • Price: compare with the same item in the same condition, and leave a little room for offers.
  • Post regularly: your followers get a notification for every new item and every price drop.
  • Send an offer to people who favourite your item, and only Bump a listing that’s already good.

1. Nail the first photo: it’s what gets the tap

In the feed and in search results, buyers first see a grid of photos. The first one decides whether they tap or keep scrolling. Vinted asks for that first photo to show the entire item, with no collage, and allows up to 20 photos per listing.

  • Natural daylight, near a window. No flash, no filter: Vinted asks for this so colours stay true.
  • A plain, tidy background: a light sheet, a wall, a clear floor.
  • Then the details: brand label, size and care label, logo, stitching, sole.
  • And the flaws, close up. A hidden flaw is a return waiting to happen.

The photo-by-photo plan is in Vinted photos.

2. Write a title search can find

Buyers type specific words: a brand, a model, a size. Vinted recommends a title that states the brand, colour, item type and what makes it different, and advises against words that don’t say anything (“nice”, “pretty”, “good”).

Fill in every field too: category, brand, size, condition, colour, material. Buyers filter by these: an empty field is a filter your item won’t show up in. The full method is in Vinted title and description.

3. Set the right price from the start

Search for the same item (brand, model, size) and look at listings in the same condition. To sell fast, sit in the lower part of the range. If the piece is rare, don’t undersell it: a regular pair of Sambas and a Wales Bonner pair are not the same price at all.

As a private seller, you don’t pay a commission to sell: buyers pay the Vinted fee on top of your price, plus shipping. In France and Italy it’s usually 5% + €0.70; in the UK the pricelist says usually 3–8% + £0.30–0.80. The maths is in How to price on Vinted.

4. Post regularly and put your followers to work

This is one of Vinted’s official tips: posting often helps you gain followers, and your followers are notified when you list a new item or lower a price. They also see your items in their feed.

  • Rather than 30 items at once, spread your uploads across the week: each one is another chance to land in your followers’ notifications.
  • A targeted price drop on an item that’s stuck also notifies your followers. It’s a way to relaunch the item, not just to sell it cheaper.

5. Be quick with interested buyers

  • A favourite is a signal. When someone favourites your item or asks about it, you can send them an offer. Vinted recommends it, and it often helps the buyer decide.
  • Reply fast: a buyer who waits goes elsewhere.
  • Bundle discounts: offer a discount to people who buy several of your items.
  • A trustworthy profile: verify your profile and add a short “About” message.
  • Several shipping options: more delivery choices, more potential buyers.

6. Bump and Showcase: when to pay for visibility

A Bump (called Boost in some countries) shows an item higher in the feed and in search results for 3 or 7 days (or until it sells), to the members most likely to be interested. Its price depends on the item price and the duration. Showcase gives several of your items more visibility in buyers’ feeds.

Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to sell on Vinted?

There’s no official timeframe: it depends on demand for the item, its price and the quality of the listing. If an item gets no favourites or messages after several days, rework the first photo, the title and the price before paying for a Bump.

Does Vinted charge sellers a commission?

Not private sellers. The Vinted fee is paid by the buyer at checkout (usually 5% + €0.70 in France and Italy; usually 3–8% + £0.30–0.80 in the UK). Sellers only pay for optional extras like Bumps or Showcase.

Should I lower my price to sell faster?

Often yes, if nobody is interested. A price drop notifies your followers, which gives the item a second wind. Check first that the problem isn’t the photo or the title.

Is a Vinted Bump worth it?

It can help a listing that’s already well made reach more buyers for 3 or 7 days. On a listing with a poor photo or a price that’s too high, it mostly shows the problem to more people.
